ICON advised the management of Pulsic Limited on
their first funding
round of $5.5m.
Pulsic, the physical design tools provider for complex IC designs, has secured investment from Prime Technology Ventures and Index Ventures. Officially launched in January 2002, the company develops, markets and sells the Lyric™ product range; a flexible, high performance shape-based IC routing environment for complex analog, custom digital, mixed signal and system-on-chip (SoC) design.
Pulsic put in place an early adoption programme that allowed the company to run on revenue since its foundation, selling licenses to customers including Seiko Instruments, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, NEC and Panasonic.
Pulsic plans to use the funds to accelerate its business and marketing operations, also to grow its research and development activities and broaden the scope of its current products and fuel the developments of its future leading-edge technologies.
