ICON Shortlisted as Corporate Finance Firm of The Year for the Private Equity Awards 2007
ICON is delighted to announce that they have made the shortlist for the second year running as Corporate Finance Firm of the Year at the Private Equity Awards. The awards recognise the very best achievements of individuals and firms working within venture capital and private equity.
Presented by the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and Real Deals, these annual awards are the ultimate accolade for the industry's dealmakers and advisers.
The nomination and decision- making process has been raised to even more rigorous standards this year, through the participation of the London Business School Private Equity Institute. The selection of each company will be scrutinised by their independent research team who have compiled the shortlist for each category.
The researchers then provided a detailed and comprehensive dossier to a panel of distinguished expert judges. The judges who include:

- Richard Sharp, Goldman Sachs
- Professor Eli Talmor, London Business School
- Ernie Richardson, MTI Partners Ltd
- Rhoddy Swire, Pantheon Ventures
- Brian Wright, Ponoma Capital
- J Timothy Richards, VUE
- Brian Larcombe
- Guy Fraser Sampson
- Michael Joseph
will make their individual scores for each category and then meet to conclude their verdicts at a judging session chaired by Real Deals and London Business School.
The awards will be presented at The Grosvenor House Hotel on the 26 April 2007
