ICON Secures £2m for Discrete Semiconductor Company ipTest
ICON secures £2m funding for Guildford based ipTEST . The company is a leading global developer and manufacturer of semiconductor testing systems. Founded in 1987, IPTest currently employs 42 staff and has a turnover of £ 4m.
To date, the company has installed over 170 of its systems, which are used in high-volume production lines by manufacturers of discrete semiconductors such as ST Microelectronics and International Rectifier.
The company's management team, lead by David Newth, John Mace and Richard Denyer, has raised a £2m mezzanine loan from the Industrial Mezzanine Fund to finance the MBO of the trade an assets of the company from LTX Corporate, its US-based parent.
