ICON Corporate Finance Scoops Second National Award

Tech specialist corporate finance house, ICON, has won its second major national award in the space of just two months.
The firm, based in London and Bristol beat some of the UK’s largest corporate finance specialists to be named Corporate Finance House of the Year 2009 at the M&A Awards held in London this week.
The award follows hot on the heels of another landmark win in April this year, when ICON was named Independent Corporate Finance House of the Year 2009 at the prestigious Real Deals British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) Awards, also held in London.
The double award represents a significant endorsement for the firm, which was selected to win because of its delivery of high-quality, innovative transactions, major international networks and for its commitment to long-term client relationships.

Presented by Mergers and Acquisitions magazine, the M&A Awards brings together the UK’s leading entrepreneurs, funders, advisers and seeks to recognise and celebrate the excellent mid market deals which continue to get done in the toughest of market circumstances.
Awards were voted on by members of a 14 strong judging panel who included renowned dealmaker Peter Cullum, the Founder and Executive Chairman of Towergate, Magnus Goodlad, CEO of IP Group, Wol Kolade, Managing Partner, Isis Equity Group, Peter Rowell, Chairman, Regent Associates, plus others which included Grant Thornton, BDO Stoy Hayward, Evolution, Baker Tilly and NBGI Private Equity. ICON was also shortlisted for Best Finance Advisers in Europe.
