Description

In the context of rising fuel costs, Kyoto and an increasing worldwide drive for greener solutions, cleantech is seen as a growth sector where entrepreneurs and investors have a real opportunity for returns.

Capital investments in US cleantech grew by 41% to $961.7 million in Q2 2008, up from $683.5 million in Q1 2008. This figure is expected to repeat itself in 2008 and now represents a major investment opportunity.

To date 50% of cleantech investment has been made in energy/electricity generation companies, with 20% being made in energy efficiency companies. So what factors are driving the European investment sector today and what should European entrepreneurs do to ensure they are fit for funding.
