Brian joined ICON in 1999 as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, he specialises in advising shareholders of technology companies on their exit strategy. He has over 20 years experience in investment banking, mergers, acquisitions and disposals. Having worked both as principal and advisor he has a unique experience as both a buyer of, and an advisor to, high growth companies in USA, France, Hong Kong, China and the UK.

Eddie Harding
Investment Director
Eddie joined ICON in May 2000 and specialises in raising funds for and selling high growth technology companies. His sector experience includes software, medical tech, mobile, telematics, and semi-conductor opportunities. At ICON, Eddie has advised on over 35 successful transactions with leading edge technology businesses including Radiation Watch, Concurrent Thinking, Respond Group, Enigmatec, Action Information Management, Tamesis, Mobile Commerce, LogicScope, Screen Technology and he has also advised Petards Group Plc, a developer of advanced surveillance systems, on the sale of its Government and Commercial software business to BAE Systems Plc and Practique on its sale to Silicon Valley based, Merced Systems.

James Thomas
Investment Director
James joined ICON in 2000 and specialises in selling companies and raising funds for early stage and high growth technology companies, with particular focus on semi-conductors, electronics, environmental technologies and software opportunities in the range of £1m-£30m. At ICON, James has advised a number of high-profile technology businesses including Trafficmaster Plc and Dan Computers Plc as well as having advised some of the most exciting UK growth prospects including Deepstream Technologies, Index Oil & Gas, Inetec, Ignios, Advanced Transport Systems and Go Science.

Sebastian Frisk
Investment Executive
Sebastian joined ICON in 2008 and specialises in raising funds for early stage and high growth technology companies.
Formely Sebastain was with Swedish investment house, HQ Bank, based in Stockholm, Sweden, where he worked on the emerging markets desk, dealing with Swedish institutional clients.
Sebastian specialised in the South East Asian equity markets, in particular, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. Sebastian has an honours degree (BA) in Economics with Chinese Studies from Nottingham University. Sebastian is a Swedish national.

Kevin Gate
Investment Executive
Kevin joined ICON in 1999 and has over 25 years hands-on experience of running companies from start up to pre-IPO. Having raised VC funding and negotiated exits for his own companies, he brings extensive skills in establishing and developing successful sales in new markets, new channels for products and services and financial engineering. He has real practical in-depth skill and an understanding from the entrepreneurs' perspective.

Nicky Cotter
Co-Founder and Marketing Director
Nicky is one of the founding members of ICON and she heads up marketing and business strategy. She handles all aspects of building the ICON brand and is responsible for the development of international and strategic alliances and the building and maintaining of relationships with key technology players.

Isobel Franklin
Executive Assistant
Isobel is an Executive Assistant to the team and is also responsible for the day to day running of the London and Bristol offices
Isobel was formerly with Computershar and worked as a business analyst with the Employee Share Options team. She has a BA in modern language and Eurpoan Studies and speaks fluent French and Italian.

Skye
Team Mascot and Head of Security
After graduating from Walthamstow University for Dogs, she has joined the Bristol office of ICON Corporate Finance in the pivotal role of team mascot.
Whilst thwarted by a lack of opposable digits, she cannot make tea or coffee but is great for office morale.
Visitors to the Bristol office should bring biscuits.
