Simon Moynagh
Investment Director (ex WH Ireland, Rolls-Royce UK & US)
Simon joined ICON in May 2010 and specialises in selling companies and raising funds for high growth tech companies.
At ICON Simon specialises in the energy sector and is currently conducting a £30m and £50m private equity fundraising for two Cleantech companies.
Simon's experience in the energy sector also extends to his previous role as a Nominated Adviser to listed companies, where his clients included two oil and gas companies with a market capitalisation of £20m and £100m respectively.
In addition Simon worked for Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, an energy subsidiary of Rolls Royce Plc, operating power plants across the globe, his role was the lead financial accountant for an Indian subsidiary (RR Power India Limited).
Prior to joining ICON Simon worked for WH Ireland, the AIM-listed stockbroker and corporate finance house where his focus was on advising both unquoted and listed technology clients ranging in size from £5m to £100m. Simon’s experience spans M&A, IPOs, secondary fundraisings, convertible bonds and other corporate transactions. His clients included, Densitron Technologies Plc, Mercury Recycling Plc and Pan Andean Resources Plc.
