Eddie Harding

Investment Director and Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year 2005 & 2006
Eddie joined ICON in 2000 and specialises in raising funds for and selling high growth technology companies, with particular focus on software, wireless and medical devices investment opportunities and in the financial services, telecoms and healthcare sectors.
He has over 14 years corporate finance experience during which time he has advised on transactions ranging from raising venture capital, international disposals, management buy-outs, corporate acquisitions, private placings and public company listings.
Since joining ICON, Eddie has completed 36 transactions including: raising over $10m for Radiation Watch, a disruptive Radiation Detection technology start-up; raising a £2m Series A funding round for Concurrent Thinking, the UK’s leading provider of supercomputing services; fund raising for Screen Technology, the sale of Action Information Management to Trapeze Software Inc; the MBO of Respond Group, the UK’s leading provider of customer feedback software; the MBO and subsequent equity funding of LogicScope, a specialist developer of market data and deal notification systems to the FX sector, the sale of of Fluency Voce to Enghouse, the sale of Practique to Silicon Valley based, Merced Systems and he has also advised Petards Group Plc, a developer of advanced surveillance systems, on the sale of their Government and Commercial software business to BAE Systems Plc.
Prior to ICON, Eddie spent 7 years with Arthur Andersen, latterly as a senior manager in the private equity transaction group in London. He also spent two years as a manager in the corporate finance team in Sydney, and covered various technology and media transactions including the original BSkyB Flotation and the $1bn buy out of Invensys’ paper technology business.
Eddie is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and has a joint honours degree (MA) in Economics & Accounting from Edinburgh University.
